Oguz was born in Turkey. He developed a love for photography when he received his first film camera from his father at the age of 18. He is best known for his portrait and lifestyle photography. He is drawn to telling real stories about real life.

He moved to U.S. at the age of 25 and pursued filmmaking. He finished the Total Immersion Filmmaking Program at Seattle Film Institute in 2009. His photography background led him to appreciate the moving picture all the more. His display of an eye for the medium and interest in storytelling led him to work with important artists to create documentaries, music videos, promotional spots and short films.

He is currently a full-time freelancer and he volunteers at non-profits as much as he is able to.
